Marjan Colletti speaking on Form Panel
Marjan Colletti is an architect, educator, researcher and author. He is co-principal of ‘marcosandmarjan design limited’ in London, PhD by Architectural Design supervisor, and runs postgraduate design studios Unit 20 at the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL, and DS10 at the University of Westminster in London.
His research, projects and texts attempt to bridge the gap between architectural theory and the built environment. He favours a poetic digital avant-garde, developed through 3D software and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC), Rapid Protoyping (RP), Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technologies.
Colletti is author and editor of a series of publications, including marcosandmarjan – Interfaces/Intrafaces (SpringerWienNewYork 2005, ISBN 3-211-25232-0), 2&½D Twoandahalf-dimensionality (Bucher Verlag Hohenems 2006, ISBN 978-3-902525-482), and PhD Research Projects 2009 (Bartlett, UCL, 2009). His forthcoming issue of AD on Exuberance heralds a new era of formal sophistication and digital virtuosity. It debates a plethora of joyful and intelligent ways in which experimental (digital) architecture manages to cope with the contemporary turmoil in global politics, economics and ecology.
